Balikpapan, October 11, 2025 — The Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science and Information Technology (FSTI) at the Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK) held a guest lecture entitled “Bridging Business and Technology: BPMN as the Gateway to Digital Transformation” on October 11, 2025, in Lecture Room E-305. The event was attended by the Dean of FSTI, the Coordinator of the Information Systems Study Program, and students from the Information Systems Program from the year 2025, 2024, and 2022.
The event opened with remarks from the Coordinator of the Information Systems Study Program, Mrs. Sri Rahayu Natasia, S.Komp., M.Si., M.Sc., and the Dean of FSTI, Mr. Adi Mahmud Jaya Marindra, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., who emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and industry in facing the era of digital transformation. The event also included the signing of a cooperation agreement (PKS) between the Information Systems Study Program and PT Javan Cipta Solusi. The signing was conducted by the CEO of PT Javan Cipta Solusi, Mr. Wisnu Manupraba, S.T., MBA, and the Dean of FSTI, Mr. Adi Mahmud Jaya Marindra, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D. This collaboration includes internship programs and curriculum development based on industry needs.

The event continued with a guest lecture by Mr. Wisnu Manupraba, S.T., MBA, on the theme “Bridging Business and Technology: BPMN as the Gateway to Digital Transformation.” In his presentation, he shared insights related to PT. Javan Cipta Solusi, BPMN, and life after college from a business perspective. He also emphasized the skills that students need to prepare before graduating and entering the workforce. From his experience, Pak Wisnu, as he is fondly called, stated the importance of developing soft skills from now on. During his presentation, Mr. Wisnu also asked questions to the participants, making the event more interactive.
The guest lecture was attended by over 100 students from various batches/year. Participants were enthusiastic about the material presented, as evidenced by the numerous questions and interactive discussions during the Q&A session. In addition to expanding their knowledge, this event also provided students with a direct understanding of how BPMN concepts are applied in the industry, as well as opening opportunities for internship and research collaborations with PT Javan Cipta Solusi.
